Pricing Updates from TestMonitor

by René Ceelen, on April 14, 2023

TLDR: We’re providing new pricing plan options. If you’re already on a subscription, nothing will change. You’ll remain subscribed to your current plan and switching is voluntary. Contact us if you have questions/need assistance.

Learn What's Changing

We’re making an exciting change to TestMonitor’s pricing! On April 29, 2023, we are going to offer user-tiered plans instead of per-user plans. These new plan options will allow you to scale affordably as your team grows.

Introducing Starter, Professional and Enterprise Plans

Starter Plan
Starter is our entry plan. For $39 / mo you’ll get 3 users, complete test management, unlimited projects, access to the API, and much more.

Professional Plan
The Professional plan offers 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 users. Professional includes everything from Starter, but also includes custom fields and lists, single sign-on, and custom branding.

Enterprise Plan
The Enterprise plan builds upon Professional and comes with additional services including premium support (priority support over Starter and Professional), premium content (additional in-depth video tutorials), and manual invoicing (custom invoice).

Here are some examples of the new pricing plans and how much you can save:

FAQs

Why are we switching to user-tiered plans?
This change ensures that TestMonitor's pricing structure is more transparent and accessible to all potential customers.

TestMonitor initially adopted a user-based pricing model. This pricing scheme was chosen due to its simplicity - at only $29 per user, it was straightforward and easy to understand. However, large volume plans were only accessible through sales, and the company did not explicitly advertise any volume discounts.

In response to this, TestMonitor merged its plan-based model with the popular "flexible" subscription approach. The result was a unified plan-based model that accommodates teams of all sizes, ranging from small startups to large enterprises.

What does it mean for me?
If you are currently subscribed to one of our plans, you will remain on that plan without any action required from you. However, we encourage you to explore new plans that might be a better fit.

Unfortunately, we no longer offer legacy plans, so upgrading or subscribing to these traditional plans is no longer an option. Additionally, the new unified plan model means that you will not be able to add or remove individual users from your subscription. We understand that change can be challenging, but we believe that this new plan model will provide you with better value and more flexibility in the long run.

How can I switch?
First, switching is voluntary. You’ll remain subscribed to your current plan. If you decide to make the switch, it’s very easy.

If you’re on our Flexible plan:

  1. Head over to the Settings page
  2. Click on Billing
  3. Click on Update subscription...
  4. Select the new plan, billing interval and click on Proceed to payment
  5. Confirm your selection

If you’re on one of our legacy volume plans (Team, Business, Professional), please contact our sales team.

What if I have other questions?
We understand that pricing changes can be a cause for concern among our customers. If you still have questions or concerns, our sales team is available to assist you. Please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will do everything we can to address your questions or concerns.
